There are nature moments now that seem better than autumn after such a serious winter.
M knows the word “chartreuse” from her first spring out of the city.
Yesterday I saw my first guy in drag since I got to the suburbs…He was shopping in the ladies department of a big store with killer straight bangs and wedge shoes.
Loving that Catherine wore McQueen this morning for the royal wedding!
Kick back and feast your eyes on some gorgeous architecture.

Car at Cooper Lake, originally uploaded by jdl2005.
One of my peaceful places, west of Woodstock. I passed the lake every day on the school bus for a few years. You could look at just the right angle and see perfectly planted rows of trees leading to the lake.

I’m sorry it’s been so quiet here. We’ve been busy. M’s first week of school, and riding the bus. Tackling a few personal projects. I will be backposting a few items to fill in the blanks here. Meanwhile, I’ve had some fairly surreal experiences too. We were in the supermarket Friday and in the midst of a sunny day, we saw this. This photo is SOOC! (straight out of camera). Then today we were getting out of the car in the driveway and I heard from behind me NO KIDDING the flapping of huge bird wings as it passed over us. Neighbor knew it as the local red tailed hawk.
